Join Me at the 2026 Avenues Street Fair on October 10
/There are a lot of reasons I love the Avenues, and the Street Fair is near the top of the list. Neighbors, musicians, artists, and food vendors fill the streets, and the whole neighborhood feels like one big front porch.
If you're used to marking your calendar for September, here's your heads up: the fair has moved to October this year! It's Saturday, October 10th, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., on 1st Avenue between I and O Streets. There will be live music, local arts and crafts, prepackaged foods, and plenty of food and drink choices to keep you fueled while you wander.
A few things I'm looking forward to:
The music. The fair has announced its 2026 lineup, and you can see who's playing on the Avenues Council's entertainment page.
The art. This year's featured artist is Libby Peterson, whose theme is "Animals in the Avenues." You can find her booth near the Greater Avenues Community Council booth at 1st Avenue and K Street. The People's Art Gallery is also part of the fair, and it's a wonderful way to see what creative things your neighbors have been up to.
The people. With so many exhibitor and organizer booths, it's the best kind of neighborhood catch-up.
I'll have a booth there too, on the south side of the street between N & O St, and I would love for you to stop by. I've spent 15 years helping people buy and sell historic homes across the Salt Lake Valley, and the Avenues is a place I never get tired of. Whether you've been dreaming about owning a historic home, you're curious what yours is worth, or you just want to talk about the neighborhood, come say hello.
If you'd like to make a day of it, here is the quick version:
When: Saturday, October 10, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (new month this year!)
Where: 1st Avenue between I and O Streets, Salt Lake City

I hope to see you there!
