Local Business Spotlight - Cucina Deli & Wine Bar

One of my favorite places to have dinner right now is Cucina Wine Bar. It’s a locally owned restaurant at 1026 2nd Ave in the Avenues of Salt Lake City. It’s close enough for me to walk! They have delicious meals in both small and large plates. Their pasta is always handmade and changes often and they have an extensive wine list. I have yet to eat something there I don’t like. They are trying out a new wine menu on Sundays and Mondays that let you try new wines at a fraction of the cost. Well worth the walk over for sure. They also occasionally have wine pairing nights. These nights are limited to a select few and include a prix fixe meal paired with wines from their selection. I’ve participated in this as well and it was delicious and fun. As seating is limited it is suggested you book those meals in advance.

In addition to an excellent dinner service, Cucina also serves breakfast and lunch deli-style. They offer tons of premade selections - salads, meatloaf, chicken pot pie, lasagna, etc. and will also cook to order sandwiches. And their desserts are great. A friend of mine raves over the lemon bars. My favorites are their sugar cookies. They are perfection.

Finally, Cucina also does catering. We had them cater a dinner for us last month and it was delicious and well priced.

You all know by now that I love to support local businesses. This is one I highly recommend.
