Fun Things to Do in March 2020 in Salt Lake City

It’s just about March and that means it’s time to look at some of the fun things to be done in and around Salt Lake City.

1. Disney On Ice

Disney on Ice is back at Vivint Smart Home Arena from March 5-8. This year it is “Mickey’s Search Party” and he’s looking for Tinkerbell with help from characters from Coco, Moana, Frozen, The Little Mermaid and more. For tickets and more info click below.

2. Tumbleweeds Film Festival for Kids

The main branch of the Salt Lake City library will be hosing the Tumbleweeds Film Festival for Kids from March 6-15. In addition to films from all over the world, there are workshops with experts in the film industry and clubhouse activities to engage the creative spirit. The films and workshops require tickets, the clubhouse activities are free. Get all the info below.

3. Bulbs and Blooms at Red Butte Gardens

Red Butte Gardens always has something good going on. It’s a great place. I highly recommend it if you haven’t been yet. Beginning in March and continuing through out the spring, they have Bulbs and Blooms. Last fall they planted over 500,000 bulbs that will bloom throughout the spring. Nearly half of those are daffodils! The rest include tulips, hyacinths, cyclamen, iris, and tons of others. Worth a look for sure!

4. 2020 Woodcarvers Show and Competition

Wheeler Farm is hosting the 28th Annual Woodcarvers Show and Competition on March 20 and 21. You can get all the details below.

5. 2020 Chocolate & Cheese Festival

The Natural History Museum of Utah is putting on the Chocolate and Cheese Festival again this year on March 28 and 29. They host “the best local producers and purveyors of chocolate and cheese in one of Utah's best food markets for this two-day extravaganza.” It’s a great way to taste some of the best food on the planet and learn about their history at the same time.
