We are in the midst of the spring market. We have seen an uptick in new homes on the market and they will continue to ramp us as we move through the spring months. The new houses on the market are still being scooped up quickly as there are still a lot of buyers out there looking for homes to buy. According the the local multiple listing service there are about 4 months of inventory on the market - a solid seller's market. A balanced market is 6 months of inventory.
Interest rates are sitting at around 4.25% - higher than they were last year, but still good, low, affordable rates.
Salt Lake City was recently rated 10 out of the top 100 places to live in the United States by U.S. World & News Report. This is due to our affordability, strong job market, and our high quality of life here. I've always said this is a great place to live. It's nice to have some back up.
