5 Things to Do in February 2020 in Salt Lake City

It’s just about February, and I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling that midwinter slump for sure. To help break out, I’ve compiled a list of 5 things to do to have some fun.

1. Midway Ice Castles

Each winter you can visit the ice castles in Midway, UT. According to their website, “The experience is built using hundreds of thousands of icicles hand-placed by professional ice artists. The castles include breathtaking LED-lit sculptures, frozen thrones, ice-carved tunnels, slides, fountains and much more.” Click the link below to get tickets and more info.

2. Tracy Aviary $1 Winter Wednesday

I’m a little late on this one. Tracy Aviary at Liberty Park offers $1 admission on select winter Wednesdays. The final one for the season is on February 5th. Get more info below.

3. Giselle by Ballet West

Ballet West will be performing Giselle from February 7-15th. According to their website, “Since its Paris premiere in 1841, Giselle has been an instant triumph with audiences. A love story, a ghost story, and a tale of forgiveness from beyond the grave.” Ballet West always puts on a great show. I’m sure Giselle will be more of the same. Get tickets below.

4. Mystery Science Theater 3000

This show has had a cult following for as long as I can remember. Live at the Eccles will be hosting a performance of “Mystery Science Theater 3000 Live: The Great Cheesy Movie Circus Tour” on February 8th. You can get all the info about the different ticket packages below.

5. Winter Palooza 2020

Winter Palooza is a fun event crammed with fun for the whole family - laser tag, mini golf, visits from princesses and Star Wars characters, bounce houses, ropes courses, magic shows, and tons and tons more. It’s at the Mountain America Expo Center in Sandy on February 22nd. As always, get all the details and tickets below.
