Last summer my family moved from the Avenues of Downtown Salt Lake to Millcreek Township. We've spent the last year discovering the wonder and fun of our new neighborhood. One of the best things they do in Millcreek every year is the Venture Out Festival Series.
Each Friday evening beginning at 6 from June through August is a different Festival. There are fun booths with unique activities, a live band, and, at dusk, a family friendly movie. The location changes every week and so does the theme.
This week celebrates It's a Jungle Out There! at Eastwood Elementary at 3305 S Wasatch Blvd. Everything will be jungle and animal themed. Harry Lee and the Back Alley Blues Band will perform and the movie Paddington will start at dusk. The follow week is Winter Break in July with cool ice and snow fun, Flint and Steel band and Elf on the big screen.
You can get more info on their website at millcreekventureout.org.
